The Saffron Wings and Stalinisation of Indian Politics

Yashwant Sinha is a worried man these days. He is apprehensive of his leader Narendra Modi being taken for a ride by the Congress party. He says that the Congress party is laying a trap for him, a trap of the binary of Communalism and Secularism and fears that his upward looking Narendra Modi might fall in it. So, well wisher that he is of Narendra Bhai, he wants to alert him: do not get entangled in the conspiracy of the wily Congress. He appeals to Narendra Modi to stick to people’s issues and not let the political discourse shift to the terrain of the Secularism versus Communalism debate.

And then Yashwant Sinha rushes to clarify- ‘ No, no, he was speaking to Congress and not to Narendra Modi’. After all, how can HE, the SAB-JANTA-WALA be advised by an ordinary party member like him? Sinhaji only wants the nefarious design of the Congress to be foiled. Read what he writes, “The Modi-baiters have a clear game plan. The more he speaks, the more controversy they will create. The pre- election political discourse will, thus, be distorted and attention will shift from the mis-governance and corruption of this government to what happened more than 11 years ago in Gujarat. We must bring the discourse back from the past to the present.”

Yashwant Sinha had served the country under the NDA regime as finance minister. He is, therefore qualified to speak about economic issues, “We should bring the debate back to current issues which are basically economic issues. The issue of poverty, the issue of bread and the issue of unemployment. These are the issues which are hurting people. It is not communalism or secularism. These are the issues. So we should bring the debate back to these issues.”

You could almost see the worry on his face. And worry is actually not about the discourse being marred by the spurious Communalism-Secularism debate, it is in actuality, a fear of the BJP being devoured by Narendra Modi and consequently leaving mortals like Yashwant Sinha lost in oblivion. After all, the speeches of no BJP leader other than Narendra Modi have been televised live, especially while addressing college students. How is it that the entire speech of Narendra Modi when he visited the Sri Ram college of Commerce of the University of Delhi was telecast live and also recently his speech at the Fergusson College , Pune? How is it that all national TV channels think their viewers across India would be interested universally in what Modi has to say in a ‘local’ setting? It seems, Modi has transformed himself into a national figure of far wider reach than any of the other leaders of the BJP, who have been in Delhi for decades together, being constant fixtures on channels, who used to think that they were the articulators of the ideology of the party.

All that is past now. Yashawnt Sinha, therefore , is not talking about marginalization of ‘real’ issues , issues of bread , unemployment and governance. He is talking about the marginalization of people like him within the party. Since the time Modi was anointed as the chief of the election panel of the BJP, all they have been left doing is defending his statements, supporting his upgradation in the party even at the cost of the tallest among them. Modi has become the centre and they have been pushed to the periphery. It is this fear which is expressed through the words of Sinha.

Sinha does not want Modi to be made an issue, a talking point. But now all this is beyond him. Modi is very carefully crafting his campaign in which it is only he who would be visible. You would always see him at the centre flanked by the sulking, sullen older faces of the party. Modi smiles, Modi frowns, Modi turns his head towards Advani, Modi ignores advani, etc.,etc.. He has become the reference point. A time may come when all of them would be asked to address rallies or even press conferences wearing Modi-masks. First, their voices would be snatched from them and then he would demand their faces. Modispeak and Modiface , this is what would remain of a party, which boasted of being a party opposed to the personality cult. This is what is gnawing at the heart of Yashwant Sinha.

This is a complete Stalinisation of the BJP. While giving Stalin the centre-stage Lenin had probably not anticipated that he would gobble up the entire politburo of the party. Soon after taking charge , he restricted Lenin’s access to the party and got his all his colleagues , who had their own ambitions, in the politburo eliminated one by one. The ones who survived could do so only by licking his boots. We know that Stalin was part of a very different history. Analogies cannot be dragged beyond a point. However, similarities are too striking to be ignored. This is what is happening to the BJP now. It is the decimation of the party to make room for a person, which is Sinha’s nightmare .

Sinha wants Modi to speak less. He would be fortunate if he escapes the wrath of the Bhai after making this unwarranted, unsolicited advice. We saw the express departure of Amir Raza Husain, who was brought into the party and made its Delhi state Vice- President only recently, after he made a statement criticizing Modi and lauding Advani. His mentor Vijay Goel, an old hand in the party had to rush to press to express his loyalty to Modi after dismissing his prized find from the party.

It has been said that the emergence of Modi in India has only one notable precedence in history and that is the rise of Hitler in Germany. Overall that may surely be true, but if we look at this phenomenon from the point of view of the political organisation, one can only go back to Stalin and what he did to the Soviet Communist party.

Top 10 Question On Islam with Verses of Holy Ramadan

Higher educated women for Muslim community normally face some annoyed queries from their counter parts from other community either work places or homes. Normally, The queries are listed bellow because I too face similar question from my counterparts from other community , specially Hindu Community.
So my this post can help to understand such queries and easy to reply them about Islam and Muslim community.

1. What is Islam?

Answer: Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. For a fifth of the world's population, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness, and the majority has nothing to do with the extremely grave events, which have come to be associated with their faith.

2. What does Islam mean?

Answer: The Arabic word Islam simply means 'submission', and derives from a word meaning 'peace'. In a religious context it means complete submission to the will of God. 'Mohammedanism' is thus a misnomer because it suggests that Muslims worship Muhammad (peace be upon him) rather than God. 'Allah' is the Arabic name for God, which is used by Arab Muslims and Christians alike.

3. How do we know Islam is the truth?

Answer: a- It is the only religion that holds Allah as One, Unique, and Perfect.
b- It is the only religion that believes in the sole worship of Allah, not Jesus, not an idol, and not an angel, only Allah.
c- The Quran does not contain contradictions.
d- The Quran contains scientific facts, which are 1300 years ahead of their time. The Quran, while revealed 1400 years ago contains scientific facts, which are only now being discovered. It is not in contradiction to science.
e- Allah has challenged the world to produce the like of the Quran. And He says they won't be able to.
f- Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the most influential man in history. In the book "The 100 most influential men in History", written by non-Muslim, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was #g. Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was #3. It should be noted that even the Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was a prophet sent by Allah. Would Allah allow a false prophet to be so successful? No. Even the Bible refers to this in Deuteronomy 18:19. A false prophet would die!!! Yet Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not die till he completely conveyed, and taught Allah's religion.
h- He had many prophecies, and all of his prophecies have come true, or are still coming true.

4. Why does Islam often seem strange?

Answer: Islam may seem exotic or even extreme in the modern world. Perhaps this is because religion does not dominate everyday life in the West today, whereas Muslims have religion always uppermost in their minds, and make no division between secular and sacred. They believe that the Divine Law, the Shari'a, should be taken very seriously, which is why issues related to religion are still so important

5. Do Islam and Christianity have different origins?

Answer: Together with Judaism, they go back to the prophet and patriarch Abraham, and their three prophets are directly descended from his sons-Muhammad (peace be upon him) from the eldest, Ishmael, and Moses and Jesus, from Isaac. Abraham established the settlement, which today is the city of Makkah, and built the Kabah towards which all Muslims turn when they pray.

6. Who are Muslims?

Answer: One billion people form a vast range of races, nationalities and cultures across the globe, from the southern Philippines to Nigeria, are united by their common Islamic faith. About 18% live in the Arab world; the world's largest Muslim community is in Indonesia; substantial parts of Asia and most of Africa are Muslim, while significant minorities are also to be found in the Soviet Union, China, North and South America, and Europe.

7. What do Muslims believe?

Answer: Muslims believe in One, Unique, Incomparable God in the Angels created by Him, in the prophets through whom His revelations were brought to mankind; in God's complete authority over human destiny and in life after death. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets starting with Adam and including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John the Baptist and Jesus, (peace be upon them). But God's final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message and a summing-up of all that has gone before was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through Gabriel.

8. Who is Allah?

Answer: It is a known fact that every language has one or more terms that are used in reference to God and sometimes to lesser deities. This is not the case with Allah. Allah is the personal name of the One true God. Nothing else can be called Allah. The term has no plural or gender. This shows its uniqueness when compared with the word god which can be made plural, gods, or feminine, goddess. It is interesting to notice that Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus and a sister language of Arabic.
The One true God is a reflection of the unique concept that Islam associates with God. To a Muslim, Allah is the Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, Who is similar to nothing and nothing is comparable to Him. The Prophet Muhammad was asked by his contemporaries about Allah; the answer came directly from God Himself in the form of a short chapter of the Quran, which is considered the essence of the unity or the motto of monotheism. This is chapter 112 which reads:
"In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.
Say (O Muhammad) He is God the One God, the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, nor has been begotten, and equal to Him is not anyone."

9. Does Allah look like us?

Answer: No, Allah is perfect. He is not like any of His creations. He has told us that He has hands, eyes, a face, and feet, but all of these attributes are befitting to His might and glory. A Muslim does not say a single thing about Allah other than what Allah says about Himself. Allah is Perfect and Unique.

10. What does it mean to believe in Allah?

Answer: To believe in Allah means to believe in total perfection, and uniqueness.
It means to believe in His prophets because they are His, and He sent them. We can not pick and choose. A Muslim must believe in all the prophets of Allah.
It means to believe in the Angles! We must love them all. We cannot hate an Angel say, for example, Michael to whom rain and the vegetation of the Earth are attributed or Gabriel to whom revelation (bringing down the scriptures to the prophets) is attributed.
It means to believe in Allah's predestination of good and bad.
Itmeans to believe in the last day: The day of Judgment.

Secularism In India and Narendra Modi Cyber Gang in Social Media

Narendra Damodardas Modi is one of the highest uttered word in Indian from 2002 still now. But why he is become most discussed word in India? This question's reply is not simple and giving reply may not be possible for me. So I have tried to find out with a few of my ex students and friends.

Narendra Modi was born on 17th September, 1950 in a lower class family as his father Damodardas Mulchand Modi tea stall keeper. It is heard that he was one of active worker of that tea stall along with his brother. After his schooling, he had joined as worker in staff canteen of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation at the same bus terminal where his father's tea stall was. Modi got in touch with some RSS leaders in the canteen and he went under training in Nagpur as RSS trainee. In thus way, he entered in sangh parivar which continues till date. However he had completed Master Degree in political scienc from Gujarat University. He was the Gujarat chief of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad at his university period. He become the state general secretary of BJP and won the state election 1995. After some cold war between Shankar Singh Vaghela, he become the top of BJP in Gujarat as well as firebrand leader Sangh parivar.Modi was appointed as a Chief Minister of Gujarat on 7th October 2001 due falling health of his predecessor. The communal violence was brook out among Hindus and Muslims the Godhra incident. A large section of main stream media blame him for supporting rioters from administration but he always denied such charges. Some opposition leaders say if he would willing to control the violence then it would safe 5000+ peoples. After wards , the BJP won third consecutive election in Gujarat and he is still the Chief Minister of the state.

Probably PM candidate:-

It is known to all that Gujarat is on of the developed state in India from pre-independent era to till date due to natural resources as well as workaholic nature of the people. Modi has encouraged the people to do more for success and a section of Gujarati people have got the success which may be one of the idle mantra for Modi. There is no doubt , he is a workaholic and an introvert people who is also interested in poem writing. Finally he has been able to become the chief of national election committee of the BJP which is the way for Prime Ministerial candidature.

Cyber Gang of Modi:-

He has captured a few hundreds of well established IT professional with his ideology, those are working for him in various social media as well as every publishing platform to praise him. If you go through Twitter, Facebook, Google+,Youtube and a few more then easily get thousands of comments on his support either those carry some sense or not but they make noise. You will not get a single news paper's website where Modi's cyber gang members are absent.

Secularism of Modi:-

A few month ago, I had joined a hangout in Google plus where Modi was main speaker, honestly I had not got the chance to ask question to him but my question was asked by a NRI from US. The query was that what did his view of secularism? Unfortunately, he had given no direct reply on this question and the summery of his reply , India was secular and it is secular and it will be secular. When it was asked cross question about his vision on religion except Hindu then he replied that all can perform their religious tactics on the basis of Hindutava.

Common people's view on Secularism:-

After that hangout out, I was busy in my personal works but a few days ago this thoughts again come to my mind and have stated deep digging on it. Most people having a trend to favour and work for own his tribe ,religion , and political identities. Secularism is nothing but a mask to hide one's communal feeling. Its very difficult to understand the meaning of Secular and non secular force and I have some confusions. All parties try to exhibit their secular character just to bring all sects of people to their folds. BJP with the inclusion of Muktar Nakvi, Heptullah, Sahnawaj Hussain, is trying to propagate its secularism. The main motto is to capture power via vote bank policy. Congress often shows its non political character although its guided by the policies and principle agendas. So the arguments is some where and the running style is some where.Who is more communal? Narendra Modi or others?

Findings on communal strategies and Narendra Modi:-

1. 2012 Election: 31% of Muslims voted for Modi. 2013 by election. Modi won 6 out of 6 seats held by Congress. Could he do it without Muslim support?
2. Gujarat has 8 Muslim majority MLA seats. 6 of them are won by BJP. Possible without Muslim support?
3. In the last 6 decades of history, the ONLY communal riot-free 10 years was under Narendra Modi's rule.
4. Out of the 6 major communal riots of Gujarat, Congress was in power during 1969, 87, 89, 90 and 92. Crores looted. 1000s of Muslims killed. Forget charge sheets, no FIRs also exist on records. But for 2002 riots under BJP govt, 200+ Hindus arrested and 150 serving life sentences. See the difference? Not a single criminal, involved in 1983 Asom (Nellie), 1993 Assam (Bodoland) and 2012 Assam (BTAD) massacres, was punished. Victims of Gujrat riot have been compensated but in Assam it is denied yet.
5. Those who parade 2002 riots as "anti Muslim" BJP policy, do not question 1964 Bihar, 1980 UP (Moradabad), 1969 Gujarat (Ahmedabad), 1983 Asom (Nellie), 1993 Assam (Bodoland), 2012 Assam (BTAD), 1989 Bihar (Bhagalpur), 1993 Maharashtra (Mumbai). All these had more Muslim deaths than 2002 Gujarat. All these had Congress governments.
6. After the 1984 Sikh slaughter in Dilli, Rajiv Gandhi brushed off the death toll with "big Tree Falls" speech. Why no Human Rights group speaks against that Congress leader?
7. Actor Salman Khan's father Salim asked: "Mumbai 1993 was no less violent than Gujarat 2002. Can you tell which party's CM was ruling Maharashtra then?"
8. Gujarat's Maulana Vastanvi: "The community that benefited most from Modi's inclusive development is that of Gujarati Muslims"
9. Maulana Mehmood Madani of Jamatul Ulema e Hind: "Compared to other states, Muslims in Gujarat are much happier"
10. Maharashtra's ex IGP SM Mushrif to Milli Gazette paper: "Today the most safe place for Muslims is Gujarat"
11. Kerala's VV Augustine, member of National Minority Commission: "Poor Muslims' economic status in Gujarat has improved the most. How can I deny that?"
12. In Sabarmati Riverfront Project, 13000 families got displaced. 68% were Muslim. But every one of them is provided apartment now. Modi did NOT discriminate. In Assam 93-94 Bodoland riot victims are still residing in refugee camps. But the conspirators are rewarded.
13. Gujarat's Haj quota is 3500. But now 41000 applications already in place. Shows how Gujarati Muslims have become financially well off.
14. Muslims form less than 10% of Gujarat's population. But 18% of RTO registration of 2 wheelers are by Muslims. Their 4 wheeler registration also is higher than the population. 12% police are Muslims. 10% of Government jobs held by Muslims.
15. Finally, Gujarati Muslims are more well off financially and much safer in 2013, than EVER in their history.

Final thoughts form Author:-

I am neither a political author nor a politician and honestly never accept membership from any political party. But my personal sympathy will always with those people who are doing better job for common people either Hindu ,Muslim ,Sikh or any. As an Indian citizen, these are my own view in present Indian political scenario.

Supreme Court says Don't terror tag to innocent minority people such "my name is Khan, but I am not a terrorist"

The Supreme court of India finally echos the voice of the Bollywood movie made by Karan Johor . Ensure that no innocent has the feeling of sufferance only because ‘my name is Khan, but I am not a terrorist,’ Bench tells Police

No innocent person should be branded a terrorist and put behind bars simply because he belongs to a minority community, the Supreme Court has told the Gujarat Police. Police must ensure that no innocent person has the feeling of sufferance only because “my name is Khan, but I am not a terrorist,” a Bench of Justices H.L. Dattu and C.K. Prasad said on Wednesday.
It ordered the acquittal of 11 persons, arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act and other laws, and convicted for allegedly planning to create communal violence during the Jagannath Puri Yatra in Ahmedabad in 1994.

“We emphasise and deem it necessary to repeat that the gravity of the evil to the community from terrorism can never furnish an adequate reason for invading personal liberty, except in accordance with the procedure established by the Constitution and the law,” the Bench said.
Being an anti-terrorist law, the TADA’s provisions could not be liberally construed, the Bench said. “The District Superintendent of Police and the Inspector-General and all others entrusted with operating the law must not do anything which allows its misuse and abuse and [must] ensure that no innocent person has the feeling of sufferance only because ‘My name is Khan, but I am not a terrorist’.”
Writing the judgment, Justice Prasad said: “We appreciate the anxiety of the police officers entrusted with preventing terrorism and the difficulty faced by them. Terrorism is a crime far serious in nature, graver in impact and highly dangerous in consequence. It can put the nation in shock, create fear and panic and disrupt communal peace and harmony. This task becomes more difficult when it is done by organised groups with outside support.”

‘Means more important’ :-

But in the country of the Mahatma, the “means are more important than the end. Invoking the TADA without following the safeguards, resulting in acquittal, gives an opportunity to many and also to the enemies of the country to propagate that it has been misused and abused.”In this case, Ashraf Khan and 10 others, who were convicted under the TADA, the Arms Act and the IPC were aggrieved that no prior approval of the SP, as mandated under the provisions, was obtained before their arrest and recording of statements.

Appeal allowed :-

Allowing their appeals against a Gujarat TADA court order, the Bench said: “From a plain reading of the provision, it is evident that no information about the commission of an offence shall be recorded by the police without the prior approval of the District Superintendent of Police. An Act which is harsh, containing stringent provisions and prescribing a procedure substantially departing from the prevalent ordinary procedural law, cannot be construed liberally. For ensuring rule of law its strict adherence has to be ensured.”
The Bench said: “In view of our finding that their conviction is vitiated on account of non-compliance with the mandatory requirement of prior approval under Section 20-A(1) of the TADA, the confessions recorded cannot be looked into to establish the guilt under the aforesaid Acts. Hence, the conviction of the accused under Sections 7 and 25(1A) of the Arms Act and 4, 5 and 6 of the Explosive Substances Act cannot also be allowed to stand.”

Conclusion & views:-

The Supreme Court has echoed the secular credentials of our country. Mere suspicion should not be the ruse of the police to detain a person for alleged complicity in an act of terror. Also the defencers of law and order should have a time frame within which the alleged charges against the suspects are substantiated with clear evidence and eye witness. Endless detention does not serve the ends of justice. Irrespective of the community one belongs to law should be applied uniformly. At the same time it is essential that the majority of the minority community members join the main stream of life and do not isolate themselves in ghetto like habitats inviting suspicion. Literacy and availability of opportunities too would play a big part in the emancipation of the minorities and the majority community has to take the lead in making the conditions conducive for them to feel at ease. BUt what about the rehabilitation of those who lost the most precious years of their life rotting in jails & then got acquitted becoz the charges framed by the Police against them couldn't stand strong in Supreme Court? In this case these 11 men lost 18 years of their life in the prison(total=198 yrs).(Last year also there was another young man in Delhi who was acquitted after being imprisoned for more than a 13 years on purely fabricated and unsustainable charges). The question is-what would they do after returning to their families? Now the problem is these men aftr spending so many years in Jail aren't left with any skill to make a living, the result is a group of 11 men isolated from society for the rest of their life--disgruntled with their own country- can become potential easy targets of terror (hiring)cells. If there was any goverment funded institution that could impart any skill to these men, they(acquitted individuals)would be in condition good enough to move-on with life.
